Handmade Moroccan doors, carved by hand in solid wood
Explore handmade Moroccan wood doors for riads, entrances and interior spaces. Every ALQASR door is carved by hand in solid cedar, walnut or oak by our master artisans, then finished and fitted with brass hardware in the atelier. Compare carved patterns, wood finishes and available dimensions, or request a made-to-measure design.
Types of Moroccan doors
Double entrance doors — monumental pieces such as Marrakech Grande and Palais Nour, built for villa and riad entrances.
Arched and Moorish doors — the horseshoe and pointed arches of Bab Al Andalus, Riad Blanche and Fes Mashrabiya.
Painted and zellige-inspired doors — colour and geometry with Zellige Turquoise and Chefchaouen Arch.
Palace and marquetry doors — the inlaid patterns of Nacre Marquetry.
Interior and sliding doors — Atlas Portal and the contemporary Atelier Collage.
Cedar, walnut or oak?
Cedar is the traditional wood of Moroccan joinery: fragrant, fine-grained and naturally resistant, ideal for entrance doors. Walnut gives a deep, warm tone that suits interiors and dark finishes. Oak is dense and stable, holds deep relief well and ages beautifully under an antique finish.
Choosing your door
Start with the opening width and height, then compare the shape, carving and finish of each model. Product pages list the available sizes and thicknesses. For a custom project, send your measurements, reference photos and preferred finish through our made-to-measure form.
Made to measure
Our doors can be adapted in dimensions, wood, carved patterns and finishes. Describe the intended location and whether the door will be exposed to weather so the atelier can confirm the appropriate specification before you order. Architects, designers and hotel projects can also see our collaboration page.
Before ordering
Confirm the final dimensions, hardware requirements, installation arrangements and delivery destination with the atelier. Consult our Shipping, Returns and Care Guide pages for current information, and request a project-specific quote for custom work.
Moroccan doors: frequently asked questions
How long does a handmade Moroccan door take?
Each door is made to order and ships 5 to 8 weeks after order confirmation, depending on complexity, plus transit time. Palace-scale doors take the longest.
Can a Moroccan wooden door be used as a front door?
Yes. Tell us the door will face the weather and the atelier will recommend the right wood, thickness and finish for an exterior entrance.
Do you ship Moroccan doors internationally?
Yes, ALQASR ships worldwide, with white-glove delivery available for larger architectural pieces. See our shipping page.
Can I order a custom size or design?
Every door can be made in standard, 10% larger, 20% larger or fully custom dimensions, and patterns and finishes can be adapted to your project.
