A tall Moorish arch carved from solid cedar, its diamond medallions and brass ring pulls drawn from Andalusian courtyard doors. Drawn for a client renovating a riad in the Fes medina, Bab Al Andalus takes its proportions from a 14th-century gate in the Alhambra, reduced to the scale of a private entrance.
Carved entirely by hand in our Fes atelier, using chisels passed down through three generations. No CNC routing is used on any visible carved face.
Solid Cedar, finished in Hand-rubbed Walnut. Hardware is hand-hammered brass, aged to a matte antique tone that will continue to deepen with age.
